Microchipping through AKC Reunite
Microchipping puppies before they go home . . .
Our program microchips each puppy produced with a state of the art microchip. We then have our veterinarian implant each chip into our puppy and verify that the chip is functioning as it should. We believe its important for the long term safety of our puppies in our program to have a microchip that is not going to deteriorate in their lifetime. When we decided on what company to go with we wanted to go with one that does not charge yearly fees, that offered free accounts to all of our buyers and had the lost pet service which broadcasts a lost pet’s information to animal shelters, veterinarians and other AKC Reunite pet owners.

We selected AKC Reunite for its Lost Pet Alert which is the only company that offers the optional service for a one time fee ($13.50 if done upon enrollment at puppy pickup or before. If done after the service is $15.) for a lifetime enrollment . Lost pet alerts are the most proactive way to notify a virtual community of pet lovers in your area to be on the lookout for your lost or stolen pet. This service complements your pet’s microchip enrollment by broadcasting your lost pet’s information to animal shelters, veterinarians and pet lovers in your immediate area that are interested in helping with your pet’s safe return home.
Pricing
The cost of your puppies microchip and implantation by a veterinarian is already included in the cost of your puppy.
- The one time Enrollment Cost for AKC Reunite is $17.50 if completed upon puppy pickup or before, with us. If you choose to wait to register later the cost is $19.50.
- The cost for Lost Pet Alert service for the lifetime of your puppy is $13.50 if added at time of enrollment with us or $15.00 if you decide to add this service later down the road.
The total cost to enroll you dog for his/her lifetime is $ 35.50 We highly recommend spending that amount to enroll your puppy because it guarantees that if your puppy is ever lost you have the support from not only your local community but that of the virtual community as well. You do not need to make the numerous calls to shelters and veterinarian offices in your state as AKC Reunite sends notifications to everyone in your area the minute you report your puppy lost.
